The Galilee Basin is the last undeveloped coal resource in Queensland. Over the past two years and more so in the last few months, this region has attracted intense interest from across this globe for the wealth of energy yet to be harnessed.

Recent announcements of investments by CNOOC and Adani Group are just the beginning of further announcements expected, with other potential suitors including GVK Infrastructure, Xstrata, Rio Tinto and Anglo American.
