A choral institution for more than 500 years, the Vienna Boys Choir is returning to Australia for the first time since 2005. One of Europe’s enduring symbols, the choir performs more than 300 concerts a year in some of the world’s finest venues.
This very special program includes a full performance of Giovanni Pergolesi’s haunting masterwork Stabat Mater, Mozart’s sublime Laudate Dominum, and the world premiere of a new commission by Australian composer, Elena Kats-Chernin set to Dorothea Mackellar’s iconic Australian text, Land of Sweeping Plains.
