For 5 weeks of the year, the eyes of the racing world turn to Brisbane for the Winter Racing Carnival which runs from the 11th of May until the 8th of June 2013. The highlight of this carnival is AAMI Stradbroke Day culmintaing on Saturday the 8th of June 2013 at Eagle Farm Racecourse.
AAMI Stradbroke Day is Queensland’s most prestigious day of racing and the grand final of the Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival. Competing for $1million, Australasia’s best sprinters will battle it out in the running of the Group 1 AAMI Stradbroke Handicap.
Other features of the day include the Group 1 Patinack Farm The J.J. Atkins, and the Group 2 Brisbane Cup.
The colours black, red and white reign supreme on AAMI Stradbroke Day with many racegoers choosing to theme their outfits around this colour palette. The Fashions on the Field competition will be an open category where both men and women can enter.
