Here's something you don't usually get to see again - or perhaps you missed it the first time anyway.
For some there are two Brisbanes – the one before World Expo 88 and the one that emerged after (the Brisbane of today)
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of this city changing event, Light Fantastic: Expo 88 Parades Rewired will take visitors back in time to rediscover the magic of the Lunchtime and Light Fantastic Parades that mesmerised crowds every day during the World Expo. Gobehind-the-scenes, where Parades Producer Mike Mullins assembled an incredible team of float and costume designers, lighting and special effects specialists and performers.
The exhibit is free at the Museum of Brisbane, open daily from 10am to 5pm and is showing until 27 January, 2014. Well worth visiting if you have the time.
