Well, you learn something new every day.
If you like a self-guided tour then why not take the CityCat and learn about Brisbane city from historic Newstead House to the renewal of the Brisbane Powerhouse and the planned transformation of the Howard Smith Wharves. There is an interactive CityCat tour which offers visitors an insight into the history and distinctive character of key locations along the river which have helped shape modern day Brisbane.
The tour can be accessed as an audio guide, similar to those you might find in a museum or gallery and explains the history behind riverside destinations along the CityCat route, many of which are iconic landmarks of Brisbane.
The interactive audio tour can be accessed via a smartphone or can be downloaded onto an MP3 player, while Riverfront Revival CityCat Tour brochures are available onboard every CityCat. There are four parts to the tour which have been colour-coded, allowing listeners to jump on a CityCat, skip to the relevant chapter and start their tour from there.
