Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane was rated as one of the ‘Top 10 Zoos in the World’ by AOL. The sanctuary is the world’s first and largest koala sanctuary with over 130 koalas.
Cuddle a koala, feed a kangaroo or catch one of the daily encounters including twice daily koala presentations, wild lorikeet feeding, snake presentations, the bird of prey free flight show … and much more!
Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary also offers a selection of personal experiences for you to get up close and personal with the animals. How about being ‘Keeper for a day’ and observing the animals in training sessions, feeding animals and learning about wildlife health.
Guests are welcome to bring a picnic lunch along, make use of the BBQ and picnic facilities just outside the park, or dine at one of the two onsite cafes: Riverside Café and Sleepy Koala Café.
Riverside Café provides a great view, good coffee, light meals, snacks and free Wi-Fi with any café purchase. Park entry isn’t required to enter Riverside Café.
Sleepy Koala Cafe is located directly next to the Koala Cuddling area. As well as a range of meals including low fat and vegetarian options. You can also shop for souvenirs, purchase photo tickets and kangaroo food.
