Things to do in Brisbane with Kids: Parks and Playgrounds
The Queensland school holidays are almost here! The parks and playgrounds in Brisbane City provide a great free activity and chance to enjoy the outdoors. Below are just a few that you might like to explore -
Roma Street Parkland:
Let the kids run free in 16 hectares of manicured gardens and lawns! There is a great kids playground at the end of the park, and a separate area with a liberty swing. You’ll also find a café onsite – perfect for grabbing a coffee while the kids wear themselves out!
The favourite feature for most kids would have to be the man-made sandy beach and ‘aquativity’; a kids water play area! You’ll also find two land based playgrounds and plenty of grassed areas and pathways to explore. There are heaps of restaurants and cafes in the vicinity.
New Farm Park:
A little further afield than the CBD without having to go too far. New Farm Park boasts 37 hectares with rose gardens, mature trees and a cool playground for the kids.
