Brisbane 48 Hour Itinerary, CBD and Beyond
Day One
Morning: After a complimentary breakfast at The Manor Apartment Hotel, check out some of Brisbane’s city sights
The Brisbane Explorer is a great way to get around to make sure you see everything you want to, depart from Post Office Square Queen Street
Hop off at City Hall, explore the Museum of Brisbane or take a free guided tour covering how Brisbane and it’s people change over time
Clock Tower tours operate every 15minutes (Free)
Have a morning coffee at Shingle Inn or Red Cross Café at City Hall
Next stop for history buffs, see Brisbane’s must see oldest building the Old Windmill
Lunch: Have a bite to eat at Vice Café, shop 1/201 Wickham Terrace Spring Hill or have a little picnic in the parklands
Afternoon: Head back into the city for more exploring, Queen Street Mall is Australia’s most popular pedestrian mall with world class shopping, wander the streets and enjoy the architecture, head down to the river and enjoy an evening stroll
Dinner: at Eagle Street Pier, dine over looking the Brisbane River with views of Brisbane’s iconic Story Bridge. There is a range of beautiful restaurants to choose from including Aria, Bavarian Bier Café, Il Centro Restaurant and Bar, Pony, Sake and more.
Evening: See a show at QPAC, there's plenty of great Wine Bars to enjoy in the CBD, settle in for the evening with your in-room entertainment and rest up for the next day
Day 2
Morning: enjoy your complimentary breakfast at Manor and be ready for another fun packed day
Make the most of your 2 day Brisbane Explorer ticket and take the first tour to Mount Coot-tha departing at 9.30am
First stop Botanic Gardens, Queensland’s premier subtropical botanic gardens. The 56hectares of gardens it is regarded as a living museum of native and exotic plants. Explore Japanese Gardens, waterfalls, native rainforest trees, bamboo grove, the cactus gardens, floral gardens and the tropical greenhouse.
Next head up to Mount Coot-tha Lookout, take in stunning views of Brisbane city, on a clear day you can see all the way to the coast.
Lunch: Mount Coot-tha features beautiful walking tracks, work up an appetite and dine at award winning Summit Restaurant of for more casual food affair take a seat at Kuta Café and take in the sensational views!
Afternoon: South Bank is a must do, change buses at the Transit Centre. Enjoy Epicurious Garden Brisbane’s edible garden, wander under the bougainvillaea glade, refresh yourself on the rainforest walk, ride The Wheel Of Brisbane, go swimming, sit on the riverbank and enjoy.
Alternatively, head to James Street Fortitude Valley for great shopping!
Dinner: Fortitude Valley has great dining experiences waiting to be had, try Gerards Bistro or Kwan Brothers for casual Asian/bar dining
Alternatively check out Brisbane Night Markets for street food dining at it’s best
Evening: try some Brisbane home brew at Newstead Brewing Company, head to one of Brisbane’s famous rooftop bars such as Eleven
